UCET Trip for 25th Jan 2018
Trip #1
Location : Rhyd Alyn
Meet Location : The chapel(Map Link)
Meet Time : 6:45pm
Equipment Needed : standard caving gear. Belt / harness & cowstails for ladders.
Notes : Lots of fixed ladders, some somewhat dodgy. little patches of water over wellie depth

It would be very helpful (not essential) If you could indicate that you are going.

Good trip .....

14 in total with at least 5 who said they were going to come out and play (bit didn't) that would have been a record breaking 19.

The new ladders are, well to be blunt, pretty bloody awesome - what a superb job.

added to that, if you go over the hole that leads to DHL, continue to the next 'normal route' ladder, go down it. Instead of heading along the rail at the bottom of the ladder head the 'other' way, wind your way down a bit (scramble/climb - easy) you'll come to a freshly placed scaff tube resting on the ladders we fitted down the the HDL! :-)

I went down towards the HDL to remind myself what further work is needed lower down (we used to use one or two more electons) and i think with a bit of careful though and clever placements a few well placed 'staples' into the wall would give us a nice easy 'gear free' route down.
