This weeks trip is to Garreg Boeth Mine

This trip is suitable for novices. You will may get wet as water goes to thigh depth. You can choose not to see the back half of the mine and avoid most of the water if you prefer. This is an opportunity to see the whole mine if you haven’t seen it all (or at all).

Location: Garreg Boeth Mine

Meet Place: Hendre (Roadside parking only between Hendre village and The Oak freehouse on Mold-Denbigh road. Please do not block any driveways/gateways and avoid parking directly in front of houses if you can.)

Meet Time: 6:30pm-6:45pm

Requirements: Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp.

Notes: Standard caving gear. No SRT required.

It would be useful to know who’s coming along so if you can pop a message on the forum, facebook or reply that would be great.

well done all best break through for a long time ,now we know were we are in conjunction with the engine shaft I will be going on Thursday to fit in hangers and will measure the depth to the level I will then go over to the engine shaft and measure the same depth down to were the adit level should be and mark it I think some boulders may be hiding it as Tim reckons some may have fell down the shaft from the side once in here we should then access the workings after 30 ft, mick
