UCET Trip Advisor
Howdy Doody,
Here are the details for our next Thursday night trip (there are two);
TRIP #1 – Garreg Boeth
Suitable for novices, this is a wander along the geologically wonderful passage of Garreg Boeth. You will first see Crinoids (if you don’t rush passed them), then interesting geological bands, then the sunken pit of “Stig of the dump” beyond which are the sunken volcanoes of Atlantis. You will miss the underwater volcanoes unless the front person has the presence of mind to travel carefully through the water and not rake up a deluge of silt (and keep an eye open for them). Beyond all this you will be treated to winkle (nice use of a gender neutral word to keep us up to date) deep water and the final passage to the ground dropped shaft at the end.
TRIP #2 - Spar Mine
Spar Mine adventure. For those not wishing to take on Garreg Boeth, there will be an opportunity to wander around the mine all the way to the water at the bottom and the “bridge” that once harboured a Balrog. We aren’t sure whether it was Gandalf that got rid of the bugger – or Murf.
