Yes, As explained before, it is my daughter, Bella (14) who has become so interested in rocks and holes. So keen to do some more with her before it gets too cold.
She thoroughly enjoyed the spectre of Cwm Orthin, and seemed to cope adequately with the challenge of being deep underground. We would never have done it without a guide. But she might have found the challenge of Nadolig too big a jump from Cwm Orthin,so glad I did not bring her last week.
Bella is with me Wednesday evenings and every other weekend, so she can't come to events on Thursday evenings, but can come on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. She has not done a natural limestone cave yet but has done sea caves on Anglesey. She likes crystals and mineral formations - don't we all? We have not yet done the Trefriw mines with lights - we just fumbled in the dark.
Now discussed with Bella...
She is still extatic about the trip to Cwm Orthin and keen to do more. So we can join a trip on Saturday or Sunday, but the other day we will go to Chester to look at Roman artefacts for Bella's artwork project. If weather is good then maybe we could try the adits on lower reaches of Snowdon, or Trefriw or Klondyke. Basically we can fit in to what ever others plan to do, so long as it is suitable for Bella (no sumps or SRT)...
