Description
Almost a quarry except for the fact that is has been quarried underground, which, surprisingly, classes it as a mine.
The mine is rather featureless but sports a few mineral intrusions, some pillars and some rather nice examples of the sea bed in the ceiling.
The height of the mine is little more then 12 feet and it is clear that there was a layer (right word?) of a particular limestone that was useful. The local college is built from this stone.
This mine is also referred to as “Bala Cave”
