Description
Known to connect to Rhyd Alyn, this adit may now be impassable.
After only a couple of hundred feet the gloopy silt mud deepens with a layer of water on it’s surface. Each footstep attempts to remove your wellie and within another 100 feet the silt and water are close to the ceiling.
This is all rather odd.
In wetter weather it may not be possible to get even this far.
However, it may be possible to travel further by “sliding” on top of thick silt (perhaps in a wet suit) providing the water doesn’t make this impossible.
It seems unlikely that this will ever improve naturally especially as the exit has been purposely blocked (with a drain which has now failed). It is also unlikely that the huge silt build up could realistically be removed by hand.
Unexplored Passages
