I respect him for being a SAR pilot but that is where my respect for him ends. He refuses to live on the base like his colleagues at an additional cost to the tax payer of approx 1.4 million pounds in extra security. He went "joyriding" in a sea king helicopter during his training and used it as his transport to a party. If anyone else did that it would be career over.

If he wants people to respect him, he needs to earn it by acting like a professional service man.
