UCET Weekend Trip Advisor 28th Nov (Sun)
Howdy Doody,
Here are the details for our next weekend trip :
Penmorfa Copper Mine
Famed to be the inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s “Rabbit Falling down the Hole”, this trip is in association with our friends at the GOES. It’s a non-SRT round trip although you would benefit from bringing a caving belt and tails. You will see the hidden delights tucked away underneath the Great Orme and venture where few have explored before. Suitable for Novice cavers with some experience (see notes below)
Location : West Shore, Llandudno
Meet Place : Abbey Road (or promenade opposite)
Meet Date : Sunday 28th Nov
Meet Time : 10:00am
Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, gloves (See notes below)
Link to Parking:

NOTES :
You will be underground for some time and may experience water. Bring food/drink and also a spare change of clothes. The entrance is via a 300ft “Hands & knees” crawl and there may not be enough trollies for everyone. You may need to do this the old fashioned way. There is a boat for the initial water but it won’t accommodate everyone – assume you may get the short straw.
This trip is limited to
TEN PEOPLE and will be offered to members on a first come, first served basis. If spaces permit, we may be able to accommodate non-members. Please see the UCET Thread (below) for the up to date list.
Booking for this trip is essential.
Thanks !
See you soon…..
