UCET Thursday Trip Advisor

Hello all,

Here are the details for our next Thursday night trip;

Location : Maeshafn Mine
Meet Place : Maeshafn
Meet Date : Thursday 11th January 2024
Meet Time : 6:30pm-6:45pm
Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, gloves

Post Code : CH7 5LR

Parking is 200 yards away here;

Notes : This is a lead mine with a “Derbyshire Key” lid. There is a squeezy section early on (4 feet) then an internal incline down to the workings. Some of the mine accepts water in wet weather and this can leave muddy water. Be prepared to need a change of clothes. Knee pads recommended.

Suitable for novices with some experience, not suitable for debut cavers.

NOTES: Please also keep an eye out for a potential evening trip in Corris, to be posted by Oliver for either Wed/Thur/Fri night next week as an alternate trip or in addition to this if they do not clash
