I'll bring whatever I have, bearing in mind it's more than enough you wont need to dirty Mike's rope. I. Mean mine is still in need of washing from Sunday.

Tom.

Sean is also unavailable, going for a meal, and seen as the last 2 he's been for, we've been on a trip and he's been late back, leaving everyone sat waiting for him, he decided it was probably best to bow out.

Excellent trip down Sell Gill, Mike. Decided that the meltwater was going to make Diccan a rescue, then decided that the state of the path over to Alum was a good indication that it'd be wet in the churns too.

We did Sell Gill dry route down to the duck and turned back. I think it's safe to say that all of us were glad for dry clothes and a pint. Excellent trip though, sorry I kept you waiting (overslept) and thank you all for a grand day out to complete the weekend :D

And now the voice of truth.....it was fecking icy cold and wet. Never been sooooo cold and wet in my life.

The boys, as always, looked after me, and I was scared shitless of the awkward rebelays!

I couldn't wait to get back to my car and climb into my leopard onesie :-)

But did the trip nonetheless. No rush to get back unless it's dry :-)

When I noticed you lot had a trip to Diccan planned I wondered whether WCG should organise a trip down Dolly-tubs, down under the bridge and meet you at the bottom to thumb-noses. But given the weather forecast we decided to go to the pub in the warm instead as any trips to Alum or anything on the flanks of Ingleborough risked flood pulses and possible death. Diccan would have been suicidal IMHO. Sell-gill dry route was a excellent second choice, Jingling would have been OK, but you did that a couple of weeks ago... I recommend Illusion Pot in bad weather, two of us did it last Feb in absolutely dire weather. 1 hour bailing and 1500+ gallons of water later we cleared enough airspace in the sump for a leisurely stroll to see the pretties and wander around Rushton's Chamber, but we didn't do perfidia. No SRT needed, just fixed ladders, Marton Arms shut sadly at the time :-(

yeh it wasnt massive fun, i was warm for the whole trip, till the last pitch on the way out, standing with melt water running over you trying to pull vikki to the side to keep her out of it was no fun.

Vikki, you did fine, just need a bit more practice on the more technical stuff, but you passed everything that was put in front of you, just remember, it takes as long as it takes, it isnt a race. if i was in any doubt about your ability, i simpally wouldn't cave with you, not on a srt trip anyway
