Mick,

Did you see the updated post I made on the shaft and the "likely" location ?

Hi Ian
Have been updated its on the glanalyn vien its a NWCC lid it has a 20 ft vertical and 80 ft incline it is highly photographic as the adit collapsed many years ago and every thing was left in there are
rails mounted on the walls on bends to keep the truks on the tracks even the pump rods bend around walls it
is 10 ft of the foot path and loggerheads country park hold the key we need to contact some one from NWCC
to get a trip,we need to get a plan of the mine from some were, mick

I told you it was the Glan Alyn Mine on the other thread - even drew a topographical line on the picture of the adit.

I have been to the entrance(s) and they are "very collapsed" (as you obviously know)

I also suggested that if we could get into the shaft there would be a good deal to see ... I think this is one of the holes that NWCC keep quiet.

Since the Warden at loggerheads made such a fuss about the Leete cave being available to ALL caving clubs it seems a little hypocritical to allow exclusive control for another on the same land.

NWCC and Loggerheads personnel can see this ... maybe they will offer?
