Location
SJ 069 771 ???

Directions
From Rhuallt, take the minor B road to Dyserth. Almost immediately you will have a forest (Coed Cwm) on your right. Follow this for around a mile.

The forest is set on a steep hillside and you will come across a reasonably obvious cut into the hillside (about 20 feet long) with the adit entrance at the end.

Access
Gated (unlocked). Permission unknown

Suggested Equipment
Wet Suit

Length
Up to ½ mile

Flood risk
The main adit is flooded up to chest depth and may flood higher in bad weather

Mine Attributes
Probably Lead/Silver

Description
A small, metal hatch-door leads into an adit which is “about” wellington depth.

The adit continues for a good distance of several hundred yards with interesting mineral impregnated walls. Half way along another adit runs off to the right and although this is flooded, it is believed to extend for up to ½ mile. The adit is chest deep and it is assumed (but not known) that this is the deepest end (based on adits being drilled at a slight incline).

There are 2 shafts located inside (this side of the flooded adit) but none were located on the surface.

Warning : Sulphur is present

Digs
None known.

Me and Vikki were out on a stroll today and stumbled across a locked entrance to possibly a mine. Is this the one we stumbled across (my pictures look slightly different)

Looks the same - the lock was bust when we saw it - looked like someone had gone through it with one of those grinder things
