lol, but to be fair, we have a tv licence as we watch lots of tv, well we don't, but it's on in the background allday (and most of the night)

BEfore the Missus moved in, I didn't have a telly for 7 years - too much to do to watch the box.

Just told em to show me a warrant, or disappear. I would see them 2 or 3 times a year.

Only once did they turn up with a copper and a warrant (Apparently, he could see a tv, on the 3rd floor, through closed curtains). While rooting in a drawer (Who hides a bloody telly in a sock drawer?), he sat tripped, smashed my table, and TV Licensing ended up paying me compensation. Huge fun.

Most people don't realise that the bod's that call around at your door are self employed, and get a cut if You pay for a TV License. It's in their intrest for you to buy one. How's that for high-pressure sales?
