Howdy Doody,

Here are the details for our next Thursday night trip (there are three);

TRIP #1 – SRT Training
The current SRT training course is moving underground to the Spar mine this coming Thursday – if you are on the course, be sure to turn up. If you are looking for a refresher to bring yourself back up to speed (members only pls) then now is also a great time!

TRIP #2 – New SRT Challenge
Those dastardly UCET riggers have imbued the mine with a brand new, double X rated, triple scary, Bear Grylls style challenge of a new, super duper 00berly brilliant SRT challenge. Do you have the courage to take on the mighty hole of infinity and drop down into the belly of the mine? Fully SRT Competent member only cavers only on this plunge please.

TRIP #3 – Spar Mine Adventure
For those who fancy a mooch, or to watch the brave and gallant SRTers, there will be an opportunity to wander around the mine all the way to the water at the bottom and the “bridge” that harbours the lost and ancient Balrog. If you find him, you have to bang your staff hard on the ground and bellow “You shall not pass!” Only then shall you ascend to the higher ethereal planes of Spardinium.

Location : Spar Mine
Meet Place : Car Park opposite the Oak Inn
Meet Date : Thursday 10th March 2022
Meet Time : 6:30pm-6:45pm onwards
Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, gloves, (SRT kit if you want to fumble on the ropes).

If you do fancy coming and you need to borrow equipment (like a lid/lamp) then you MUST reply to the UCET forum so that Mike knows to bring the stuff you need (it will be no good emailing me or posting to Facebook this week).

I’m a new member and will be joining the gang for my first trip.
I’d like to join Trip 2 please.

I'll be there (trip#1) many thanks to all involved in organising,helping and instructing on the SRT course

Ian Adam's, yes and Co. That being me, Rob is away, so wont make it this Thursday.

Working this Thursday, will be able to make the last Thursday in March.
