Lock down lament
We never saw it coming, it came out of the blue
everyone is touched by it, they don't know what to do
such a tiny thing it is, that we cannot even see
racing around the world, caring not for you or me
it cares nothing for the borders, or the passports they demand
it cares not for legislation, as it travels over land
the oceans were no barrier when it boarded ships with ease
and aircraft flew it around the world, like leaves upon the breeze
now all of us are prisoners, we dare not go outside
and our jailer is a virus, which is waiting, while we hide
