probably me -tools and advise.

Any idea of the model of chainset currently fitted?? if not, how many speed is the rear block and we can go from there.

Won't be home for another week yet - are you in a mad rush for tools?

My road bikes generally use Dura-ace right through and mountain bikes XT&XTR mix. Tooling wise i should have what you need for pretty much any rear block.

might appear a bit mind boggling but...

The tools to undo the bottom.bracket and and rear cassette are only a few quid, like under a fiver, the chain shouldn't need removing, but in either case, it should have a split link, not like the old ones, New ones just push togeather.
Button brackets are specific to the bike frame, they come in different widths
